fabulous music
I've just been to a Beethoven recital at Melba Hall (Melb. Uni) given by the Russian pianist Natasha Vlassenko, residing and teaching in Queensland and greatly enjoyed it. She played the Bagatelles and the seldom played Fantasie and finished with the "Moonlight" sonata. She got an ear-splitting applause! She was awarded the prestigious Tchaikovsky scholarship as a student. This recital was in honour of her (pianist) father's 80th birthday, Lev Vlassenko.
